Japanese Xenoblade Wii Advert on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has started airing the TV advertisement for Xenoblade on Wii, the new RPG from developer Monolith Soft, the makers of Baten Kaitos and Disaster: Day of Crisis. The campaign features a member of Japanese Pop group 'AKB48,' Mayu Watanabe. She has been hand-picked by Nintendo to represent one of the in-game characters. The first advert is titled "Kikai no Karada" ('Body of a Machine' in English), and features the line "I want you to use this body as much as you want," which is apparently something that bears great relevance to the adventure.

We need a release date for this over here. Nintendo will maybe announce it for October?

And what will happen with Zelda Wii? 2010 or 2011? If I was running Nintendo, I'd make it so Zelda releases on February 2011, before the end of the fiscal year, so more WM+ are sold and the game can be polished as much as possible... while at the same time padding up the release calendar. We have Metroid, Sin and Punishment, Xenoblade, Fling Smash and several other games set for 2010, so Zelda in 2011 makes sense. That doesn't mean they shouldn't show it at E3...

SO Pumped for this!!! It's looking good! Smilie

I'm actually quite excited to see more of this. Need more solid RPGs for the Wii.
