New Trailer for Dragon Quest Monsters: Battle Road Victory Wii Port on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix have started to show a new trailer to promote the arcade to Wii Port of Dragon Quest Monsters, Battle Road Victory.

The popular arcade game, which churned out over 200 million cards, is heading to Wii complete with data scanning abilities using either a special DSiWare application of a phone. You'll then be able to pit your virtual monsters against one another locally in teams of one or two, and even competing online.

It's currently Japan only, out July 15th, but here's hoping for some card action in the West too.

On the same day there will be an application released on DSiWare that allows the camera to scan cards that people have previously bought for use with the arcade game. It'll cost only 200 Points.

Given the fact that you don't necessarily need to have played the arcade game or own cards, it means this could indeed make it across the pond.

I still wish S-E would do Dragon Quest Swords 2 with MotionPlus Smilie
