New Footage for Lost in Shadow Wii on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A trio of new videos have surfaced between the shadows for Hudson's unique Wii platformer, Lost in Shadow.

We take on the role of the shadow of a lone boy who climbs a mysterious tower the rises high into the skies in a bizzare, alternate world. Along the way our protagonist battles enemies and solves puzzles by manipulating the shadows and light around him to get by. But with his movement limited to shadow, he'll need a little help - this comes in the form of an ickle sylph called Spangle - a creature of light.

Lost in Shadow is due out exclusively on Wii later this year.

Looks lovely.

Waiting for the game to release. Want it ever since I tried the flash demo that showed off the mechanics of the game.

This isn't a Wiiware title, it's a disc release.

"Lost in Shadow", developped by Hudson Soft, is not to be confused with another title, indeed due for Wiiware, based off gameplay mechanics also involving playing with shadows. That one is "The Magic Obelisk", developped by Game Arts, also known as "Shadow Walker" in Japan.

i feel very unimpressed by this game, i feel their just trying to be artsy fartsy, without the whole "its shadows ooo", it looks a very simple and dry 2d platformer. And someone said this a retail game and not wiiware, really...? For me, the game already seems to lack substance and has no gripping gameplay (from what i can see in the videos).

It's marked as a Wii release on Hudson's American website too, while all their Wiiware releases are marked Wiiware. So it can't be Wiiware.
