Thor Hammers Down onto Wii, DS

SEGA have hammered down a new game for the upcoming film release for Marvel Comics's popular thunder god Thor.

Thor: The Video Game invites players into the world of Norse mythology, seeing our protagonist rummage through primal worlds built on fire and ice, explore planets infested with gruesome giants and theiving trolls in order to save the noble city of Asgard.

Both the Wii version will share the same storyline as their HD counterparts with the Wii edition boasting a slick comic book design (sharing assets with the PSP edition) and unique controls - with the Wii remote more than likely mimicing Thor's brutal Mjolnir hammer. The DS outing will be a side-scrolling 2D adventure with its own story and specific gameplay.

Thor: The Video Game is due for release next year, presumably around the same time as the upcoming film.
