Stylish Metroid: Other M TV Advert

Nintendo has released the US advert for Metroid: Other M on Wii. Due out on 31st August, 2010 in North America, and early September in Japan, the Tecmo/Team Ninja co-developed project has been impressing media around the world since initially being unveiled and is on the cusp of finally hitting retail.

Now Nintendo of America has unleashed a very stylish TV advertising campaign that will no doubt impress viewers and, with any luck, lure them into making Metroid: Other M far more of a success than Metroid Prime Trilogy was.

    Check out the video below:

What are your thoughts on this style of advert? Could it convince people to take the Wii more seriously?

I remember there being a live action ad for a previous Metroid in Japan, where Samus had black hair.

Also Darkflame, there's really no reason for you to double post like that in such quick succession. |: if you can't quote again for whatever just use the quote codes [ quote ] [ / quote ] (without spaces)

    Online!

I would imagine Team Ninja pressured Nintendo to do a live advertisement for it.

    Lovely news for Metroid fans.

Lol kidding here's Other M's Gravity Suit.

They did it because they liked the colours from the Varia Suit more.

    Well, fuck. There goes consistency.

So do I, though, so can't really be arsed into caring Smilie

Also, you don't know how you'll obtain that 'suit'; what's the context in which you obtain that upgrade?

Read something elsewhere earlier that it strays from the typical explorative Metroid-formula anyhow in that Adam Malkovich provides you with the upgrades you need.

Therefore this could be not the Gravity Suit in the traditional fashion, but a Gravity Upgrade that you're provided with by A. Malkovich?

I'm not too bothered regardless, though, after putting up with Fusion's suit-design.
I loved Fusion as a game, but man, I found myself craving for the old suit almost every minute of the way after the suit got 'upgraded' (read: changed colours) =/ ..

Apart from it being the most retarded reason to screw continuity and consistency ever.

Also you're going to have that tacky purple aura around you for the latter half of the game. It's going to end up looking pretty stupid.

    From another forum:

"SEGA: In Sonic Colors, when Sonic goes Super, unlike in previous games, he will not turn yellow. Instead, he will gain a yellow glow, because we like blue."

Best Nintendo ad, and BEST GAME ad ever made and ever will be made!

Why does the UK get crappy ads and the US get such cool ads? Nintendo should give us the same ad!!! I've already seen it like 20 times (and counting)
