Sonic Colours Goes Green and Pink on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

SEGA upgraded Sonic's palette this week with two new wisps for Sonic Colours: pink and green, letting Sonic defy gravity.

The two additions were confirmed earlier this week as the "Green hover" and "Pink Spike" powers.

The first, green wisp, when absorbed lets Sonic soar to the skies, glide about and uncover much higher areas than normal. The other, pink wisp, is exclusive to the Wii version and lets our hedgehog friend cling to walls and ceilings with far more advanced spikes.

Jesus Christ there you go again.

Give me a single basis for the Sonic Cycle. This is only as "absurd" as elemental shields.

What part of these power ups scream "terrible gimmick" to you? The part where you can't accept that a new Sonic might turn out good perhaps?

Super Mario Galaxy 2 has new power-ups, like the Cloud Suit and Rock Suit, therefore it can't be good now. Smilie

So... when doing stuff exclusive for Wii... they go pink. Adorable, hihi!

Looking great. Smilie I'm actually more excited for this than I was for Galaxy 2. Smilie

Sonic Cycle? Need not apply. Smilie ( I hate this smilie)

I honestly pity anyone that believes that rubbish. Smilie

Looking forward to this - does look decent and the feedback so far has been pretty solid. Still though, am a little sceptical, but have more confidence than some of Sega's other 3D attempts!

Game looks great but just by looking at it I can understand how SOME might not like this.

I still have not been convinced with this game yet. Most of what I have seen so far reminds me of a rehashed version of the daytime levels from "Sonic Unleashed."
