Pokémon Black/White Pre-orders Surpass 1 Million

Pokémon Black/White Pre-orders Surpass 1 Million on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

With Pokémon Black/White set to re-ignite the longrunning Nintendo series, pre-orders for the new DS game have topped 1 million.

Bulbanews report that Nintendo recently issued combined pre-order sales figures for the new Pokémon duo, making the games the fastest DS pre-orders to date. Nintendo expects a continual interest, with an estimated 1.5 million pre-orders before the game leaps onto retail shelves from September 18th.

No news yet of a solid release outside Japan, except for sometime during Spring 2011.

On the plus side, 1 less distraction I guess.

It is unprecedented for a DS game to have that many pre-orders. The previous DS Pokémon games didn't get this many pre-orders by quite a bit.

The game's not even out yet, it's one of the most pre-ordered games of all time in Japan.
Impressive.
