Guilty Gear Gets Side-Scrolling Spinoff on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Japanese studio Arc System Works has revealed a DSiWare spin-off for the Guilty Gear series: Arc Style: Furo Jump!

In the downloadable title we take on the role of Chaiaki, who, according to Andriasang, feels a spot of bother with his back. He finds a flyer ushering him to venture off to hot springs to help with his back pain and so heads off on a quest for relief. Unfortunately for Chaiaki he's being watched by a mysterious stranger who's bound to give him trouble.

Arc Style: Furo Jump!! Guilty Gear Gaiden!? will be available to download in Japan from September 1st for 500 DSiware Points. Fancy seeing how it works, be sure to try out a Flash version on the official site.

Unlike their 3D brawler based on BlazBlue, also on DSiWare, this actually looks like a fun game. We do also need more platformers on the service. (where the hell is Shantae?!)

I'm confident we'll get a proper version of BlazBlue or Guilty Gear on 3DS, just as the PSP has recently. It's only a matter of time after SF4 3DS.
