New DSi System update blocks Flash Cards

Nintendo have recently pushed a system update for the DSi and as part of the changes blocked access to certain flash cards.

According to Tiny Cartridge, those who install the latest software - 1.4.1 - on their DSi may not be able to use flash cards, even those specifically designed for the portable. The likes of Acekard 2i, DSTTi, iPlayer, M3i Zero, Supercard and DSTwo no longer work, though EZ-Flash Vi, iSmart DS, and Hyper R4 remain unaffected.

Some of the above have their own updatable software which could be modified to continue access.

What? This is weird. Even blocking SD Cards specifically optimized and sold for the DSi? Hmmm...

Once again, I propose a law that states Homebrew must be allowed on any console, but in exchange a total ban on any device that allows more.
It would then be upto console maker to ensure that homebrew is possible without piracy.
