Some of Britain's favourite recording artists had exclusive hands-on with We Sing Encore at the recent Summer Live! Music Fest in Sandown Park Surrey, with the likes of Roll Deep and Alesha Dixon battling it out backstage. X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon was also one of the first to try out the game, along with Britain's Got Talent finalist Julian Smith and upcoming boy band, The Wanted. We Sing Encore boasts 40 tracks on disc with 10 songs available exclusively in the UK version, including Girls Aloud, Florence & The Machine, The Saturdays, Kasabian and Will Young.
The game introduces a host of additions to the original We Sing format. A single-player reward system will offer soloists a stimulating challenge, whilst groups can opt for competitive or co-operative achievements designed to reward the very best performances. The addition of a 'real karaoke' mode offers the greatest challenge, removing backing vocals entirely. Other gameplay enhancements include the introduction of 'Star Notes' and a new jukebox mode allowing non-stop music. Technically, the entire engine has been overhauled, boasting HDTV support, specific anti-lag features and an impressive visual makeover. Can't sing? Don't worry: the new singing lessons area will teach players how to sing like professionals. And those who enjoy customising will enjoy playing back their own performances and adding voice effects in real-time.
"These artists are some of Britain's hottest pop acts around today. It was great to see them getting stuck into We Sing Encore and enjoying the game so much."
- Nik Blower, sales and marketing director, Nordic Games.
