First Bit.Trip Fate WiiWare Screens on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Bit.Trip series of games, from Gaijn Games has taken us through many different types of genre in videogames, whilst keeping to it's rhythm based gameplay at the same time. Previous games have went through Pong-like gameplay, right through to a running based game. The next iteration in the series and penultimate will take up a shoot 'em up style of play (shmup).

Bit.Trip Fate is the games name and this time the Commander will have to shoot his way through rhythm based stages. Gaijin have released the first screenshots from the game, showcasing its distinct look in visuals and blocky bosses.

There was a gameplay trailer last week. It doesn't look as appealing as the other Bit Trip games.

I should get Runner some time. Smilie

The trailer made it look shit because it played a seperate music track over the gamplay.

If the trailer had simply shown the actual gameplay sounds, then it would have looked much better since the Bit games rely on the rhythm and sound to enjoy properly. The music flows with what's happening on screen.

When you add unrelated sound to the video, the games just look a mess. Same thing happened with Bit.Runner.
