Nigoro has recorded new footage of its WiiWare remake of cult hit La-Mulana, as well as revealed some new information. The developer spent time at the recent Tokyo Games Show to show fans some highlights of the forthcoming release for WiiWare, which will be published by Nicalis later this year, with the plan for it to hit worldwide simultaneously.
There will be new traps, increased difficulty levels, as well as new characters and mini-bosses included in this update, and players will receive in-game emails with hints and various pieces of useful data to help make progress through the adventure. Players can select mantras on the Pause screen, as well as use a warp feature to quickly get around. In addition to the Guardians being updated in terms of presentation and attack styles, Nigoro also plans to have extra downloadable content to keep fans content, with examples being 'Hell Temple,' 'Guardian Rush,' and 'Mini-Boss Rush' modes.
