Japanese developer indieszero is crafting a new 3DS sports game for the Namco Bandai dubbed Double Pen Sports.

The new game, which includes 3D archery and football, requires players to plop their shiny new handheld on a table or surface to play as Double Pen Sports requires the use of both hands a fair bit of stylus-driven control.

indieszero has popped up the first screenshots of the new project in action (via Siliconera).

Ewww, hopefully they update the graphics. I was expecting something like Wii Sports.. hopefully Nintendo will do a better job of it.

Why is everyone hating the look of this game so much? Even people on other game info sites are bashing it. I like it's style approach. The character art looks a lot like that of the new Final Fantasy: The Four Heroes Of Light. I think I'm just more concerned about how it looks and plays in motion. I mean it is for the 3DS so... That's what I wonder now. Sounds good if true!

The guy's giant head in the first pic remided me of Toony Link from the DS Zeldas.

Is that a bad thing? Smilie
