More Sonic 4 Footage, Walkthrough on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 community manager Aaron Webber recently did a quick video walkthrough for some of the levels in Episode 1.

With only days left till the downloadable episode uncurls its way onto WiiWare, PSN and XBox Live Arcade, SEGA have been busy pimping the new title - which is aiming to be the "true" and direct sequel to the fan-favourite Genesis/Mega Drive foursome that ended with Sonic 3 and Knuckles over 16 years ago.

Webber is also promising a teaser silhouette at the end of the first part to suggest what's coming up in the next. We're thinking...Tails "Miles" Prower, perhaps?

At the end are snippets from the totally-unrellated Duke Nukem Forever. Ah, that's where he was all this time - making Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Right...

Miles "Tails" Prower, you mean Smilie

With only days left till the downloadable episode uncurls its way onto WiiWare, PSN and XBox Live Arcade

If anyone has good hearing you will hear Aaron saying that the Homing Attack was in Sonic 3D blast for the MegaDrive. So in theory it was used in a 2D Sonic game before Sonic Adventure on the DC. But this final build looks awesome. I will be buying it as soon as I wake up on Wednesday morning. And I will be alienating my friends because of this, and the music is a lot better than I was hoping for.

Sonic 3D was a isometric game(which sucked), maybe technically it was 2D but you still had to navigate in 3 dimensions.

Plus the homing attack was a power up you got with a gold shield which was fairly rare.

WOOT Nintendo gets if first BITCHES!!!!!!!!! Yeah only by a day BUT STILL!!!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Apple already has it...

I think what Aaron said was spot on - "Speed is your reward for really effective platforming", and that's the way it should be imo, 2D or 3D.
