Goldeneye 007 Wii Gameplay, Music Behind the Scenes on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

James Bond touches down on the Wii this week in Activision's Goldeneye 007 remake. New gameplay footage and behind the scenes.

Developer Eurocom has reimagined the Nintendo 64 classic, basing a majority of the source material for the new game on the 1995 film of the name. It's not all 90s though, with a revamped world for Bond to infiltrate, blended with familiar scenes from the film and original game.

Here we take a look at the Facility and Dubai Carrier levels, meaty multiplayer footage and a behind-the-scenes music special with the new vocal talents, Nicole Scherzinger.

Scherzinger, lead singer of Pussycat Dolls, has remade Tina Turner's Goldeneye theme with her own vocal take, discussing her love of all things Bond in the following short.

Watching these videos has gotten me excited.

I'm a huge fan of James Bond and Daniel Craig as Bond. I almost felt like I was watching a movie in the cut scenes.

I'm not the biggest fan of Craig as bond, that's for sure, however am excited for this. Having played it it seemed a bit average, lacking something, but the new footage is certainly a lot more promising.

I've not fully seen any of the James Bond films with Daniel Craig in yet. I did try and watch Casino Royale once, but I just didn't find him as good as Pierce Brosnan.

UGH! Why use that aim mode when you have Wii IR Pointer controls? The trailers make it seem like you can only shoot in aiming mode, and it looks very unprecise too.

And did they just spoil the ending of the game? What retards.

By the way, I have no intention at all of buying the game. I don't play shooters anymore.

This looks amazing. Smilie Can't wait for Friday, hopefully Amazon will get it to me a day early.

I'm actually excited about this and will definitely buy it after it comes out unless there are some serious flaws with the game (like what happened with Conduit). I, too, don't like Craig as Bond since his image isn't classy like the earlier Bonds, but I think he'll be fine in the game.

And it looked like they WERE using the infrared control in at least the first 2 videos. Notice how the reticule isn't always in the center of the screen. I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about Canyarion.

Because Nintendo are going all-out with cashing the GoldenEye cow in, by demoing the game at expos with only the classic controller, and getting sites like C3 to hail this game as the second coming, when really it's riding the popularity of an entirely different game, from an entirely different developer in an entirely different era.

Nope, they spoiled the ending of the second level.

Fair play. But if you did play shooters, you'd still be better off getting Black Ops on your Wii than this. Some people who've actually played it say so.

Looking good.

I think quite a few people are not getting this game at all. It's not a remake of the original N64 game, but an entirely new game, based off the film and brought up to date.

That Critical Gamer preview is just absolute rubbish. He clearly hasn't played it, or he's played very little of it.

That critical gamer post was rubbish. I still dont understand why some refuse to play with the wii remote instead of analogue.

Analogue is SOOOO SLOW. Its far easier to point then move a cursor around the screen.

Has he played it properly. Most say the game is different, but he is adamant that its completely the same.

Amazon have my order as "Dispatching Shortly" so I'll probably get it on Friday. I was hoping for it to get to me a day early, but oh well.

I've had it since yesterday, and so far I like it. The single player is pretty good from what little I've played. Eurocom does an amazing job with the cut-scene choreography and voice work. I'm most excited for the split screen multiplayer because there are a bunch of modifiers I want to experiment with.
