Monster Hunter Tri Tops 80 Hour Average on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Contrary to popular opinion the Wii does have longetivity, with one game topping the 80-hour average per user.

According to Nintendo Channel data, pulled off the system by Kotaku, data from November reveals that Monster Hunter Tri has slipped past the 80-hour average for the users who have chosen to record their play statistics.

But it's not just Capcom's adventure game that compels Wii owners to come back for more - Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Animal Crossing: City Folk and Activision's Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Football sims Pro Evolution 2010 and FIFA Soccer 09 All-Play trading places with Konami's popular franchise climbing the ranks in playtime.

SSBB EASILY has more than 100 hours for me. Probably something like 250-300. Twilight Princess has some 150 hours from various playthroughs. FF III also has a TON of hours because I was mad enough to grind my entire party to Level 99Smilie. Then there's Okami with around 60-70 hours and I only played through it twice in a row. Last but not least is Little King's Story with a total of 60 hours from one playthrough. Then there are also pretty much all Pokémon games with around 40 hours minimum. I'm too lazy to look up those now.Smilie

So yea, I apparently invest a damn lot of time in my games.I might get Monster Hunter Tri some time if there ever is a price drop.Smilie

80? I have over 200 hours in Monster Hunter Tri. And that's without ever going online or creating a second character.

Looking through my data, it looks like I either play games for hundreds of hours, or just a few.

I think Super Smash Bros Melee, Resident Evil 4 (completed that over 20 times.. On Gamecube and Wii combined, though) and just about every Pokémon game I've had are my main contenders.

I spend at LEAST a 100 hours on every main-Pokémon RPG I get.. ^^'..

400 hours....Advanced Wars DS (*got all the medels* Smilie )

I got like 276 hours on MHT and counting. Great game. Just picked up the bundle for a second time at Gamestops online store for $30. Not bad for a controller and great game. My wife and myself are currently playing--had to pick up a new Wii as well so we could play online together--small price to pay for a great time.

Highly recommend MHTri
