New Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The upcoming DS remake of Kingdom Hearts: Coded for DS has gotten itself a new English trailer on the official site.

The North American page for Re:coded earlier posted the new footage, but has since taken it off the interwebs. Fortunately the folk at Kingdom Hearts Insider managed to pop the new trailer up on YouTube for all to see.

The game revolves around a mysterious phrase uncovered by Jiminy Cricket scrawled by someone else in his journal: "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it". King Mickey then digitises its contents and goes into the simulated world to investigate...

The slew of last few DS titles is on its way. After Ghost Trick, this, Okamiden, and Pokémon Black & White, the DS will pretty much be over for us. I wouldn't count too much on the likes of Dragon Quest 6 (it's beyond late now for this one to be released), Solatorobo, Ninokuni, or Gyakuten Kenji 2.

I'd like to be proven wrong in the end, but that's how I feel regarding the DS. Once the 3DS will be here, there won't be any more big releases for it in Europe IMO, considering the time it would take for them to translate all those great games released recently in Japan or still to be released there before the 3DS arrives.

Which big titles are scheduled for DS in Europe beyond March 2011 ? Nothing, right ? aside maybe from the "late to be released" Pokémon duo... The only big releases for the GBA that I can remember of that happened AFTER the DS was released here were Final Fantasy V and VI Advance. I can see the same thing happening with the DS. I just wish Square Enix would go through the trouble of translating Dragon Quest VI. Just this one !

Looks good & I like the varied levels they're throwing in...though I've never been a fan of the auto scrolling games where your character is always forced to run forward. Still another entry in the KH series & I am DEFINATLY looking forward to the 3DS one!! Also HURRY UP & FINISH Final Fantasy VI for 3DS SQUARE!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

There's still the fourth Professor Layton which will probably be out late next year. We likely won't get the 5th PL (the 3DS one) till 2012.

Other than that, I can't think of many other big names. Dragon Quest VI will probably still get a quiet release. It was only released in Japan in January 2010.

For a second there I was thinking this was the 3DS one and was wondering what was up with the graphics and the text bubble cut scenesSmilie
