Ex-Nintendo Boss Returns to his Roots...
...Most Likely Scaring People Along the Way!

The Kyoto Journal is reporting that the 76-year-old former Head of the Japanese branch of Nintendo is to become the President of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu Project foundation. This is a dedication to the promotion of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, a collecion of one hundred short poems authored by one hundred different Japanese poets between the 7th and 13th Centuries.

Linking with Nintendo's past business plan, before its venture into gaming, the Hyakunin Isshu is linked with a card game where one person reads one half of a peom and the others must find the other half. It is hoped that more attention will therefore be brought to the poems and attract more visitors to Kyoto.
