Nintendo has today confirmed that Inazuma Eleven on DS is definitely coming to the UK. When the company's official Swedish website stealthily announced a release date of 28th January, 2011, gamers eagerly awaiting the first entry into the million-selling Japanese Football RPG from Professor Layton developer Level-5 were literally cheering from the rooftops (virtual ones, of course). However, the Nintendo UK site had no mention of the title, nor did any retailers over here. As the New Year has come and we approach the middle of January, other European countries are revealing more details, yet the UK has remained silent...until now.
Cubed3 exclusively revealed in an interview with Akihiro Hino in 2009 that Inazuma Eleven would eventually come to Europe, and now Nintendo UK has confirmed to Cubed3 that us Brits will certainly not miss out on the highly rated portable adventure.
Why the silence so far, though? Well, it all comes down to the intricacies of getting the Inazuma Eleven animated show onto British TV first. Nintendo is currently working out the details as quickly as possible before unleashing the DS game.
Those who had holding their breath in anticipation can now breathe easy!
