C3 Speculation | Namco Registers More RPG Names!

Namco Registers Some New Names...
...And They Look Rather RPG-Like!

Finding out tidbits of information from registered trademark names is becoming an increasingly used method to uncover details of possible future titles from gaming companies.

The latest event of this nature comes from back in mid-September when Namco registered two trademarks that are related to the PS2 RPG series XenoSaga. The highly rated RPGs are developed by Monolith Software, the company currently working on the GameCube-exclusive Card-RPG Baten Kaitos. The names registered are XenoSaga: Freaks and XenoSaga: Extra.

The latter may well simply be the US version of last week's Japanese release of the remixed XenoSaga: Reloaded for the PS2, but XenoSaga: Extra could possibly be a future version for one of Nintendo's systems - especially since Namco and Nintendo's relationship as of late has been fluorishing! Nothing is, so far, confirmed, but as soon as anything news is uncovered, C3 will get the presses rolling straight away!
