Nintendo of Europe is bringing internet browsing and virtual console capabilities to the 3DS via a firmware update from day one.
Previous reports stated that when the console arrives on retail shelves it will lack some of the additional software Nintendo had been touting for the new handheld, including the Internet Browser and downloadable software library, now dubbed eStore.
According to EuroGamer, that is true, however new owners will be able to download an update with the software from launch day on March 25th.
The 3DS itself boasts a Mii creation system, Music player/editor, 3D/2D photo capabilities and 3D content from various providers. There'll also be a friends system, notepad and activity log as essential travel tools.
