Zoonies Escapes to DSiWare on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

After years of developing handheld games for brands such as LEGO and Commodore 64 over the last ten years, Kiloo Games are bringing their own new IP to DSiWare: Zoonies - Escape from Makatu.

After crash landing his plane in a threatening jungle, Leo the lion runs into trouble with the natives, the vicious Tubas tribe. Clearly not a fan of The Lion King, the tribe’s leader Makatu takes an instant dislike to our ex-pilot Panthera Leo and orders his people to hunt him down post haste. Unless you step in, of course...

Zoonies is a stylus-controlled physics-based puzzle-platformer. The twist is that players don’t have direct control over Leo at all - as he runs as fast as his little fuzzy legs can carry him, players must manipulate the action around him, solving puzzles, saving him from traps and beating down any enemy that comes near.

Multiple paths through 20 levels over four worlds are hoped to offer plenty of replay value when Zoonies - Escape from Makatu roars onto Nintendo DSiWare in the near future. Until then, check out the screens in our media album below.
