Factor 5 Working on 3DS? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Factor 5 GmbH recently updated their company history page, suggesting that work is underway for Nintendo's 3DS.

Whilst the US division Factor 5 Inc., creators of the sublime Star Wars Rogue Squadron series, closed their doors in 2009, parent company Factor 5 GmbH is still alive and kicking. The studio, based in Cologne, Germany is currently working on undisclosed projects - some of which could be for the 3DS if the company history page is to be believed:

...These were a direct result of a more than decade-long close collaboration between Factor 5's founders and Nintendo in hardware, OS, and tool development, starting with the Nintendo 64 and continuing with the GameCube, Wii, and 3DS.

Via NeoGAF.

What would you like to see Factor 5 bring to the 3DS table?

Honestly with the rumors of Gamecube games being ported onto 3DS & redone in FULL 3D I'd be happy with a 3D rerelease of Rouge Squadren 2. But let's hope their doing something more original as well atleast.

The GameCube was UNJUSTLY ignored thanks to the ignorance of ps2 only fans....I really feel these games deserve a second chance just like the Dreamcast. T_T

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Oooh, Rogue Squadron II in 3D would be amazing. However, I would love for them to do something new (hopefully Rogue Squadron related).

Are these the dogs that fired their employees and went off with all of the money?

Not interested.

Wait... Factor 5's parent company is still alive and kicking?! Smilie I thought they folded not too long after the US division did? This is great news! Hopefully, they're working on a Star Wars: Rogue Squadron game for 3DS! Smilie That is, if LucasArts finally managed to pull their heads outta their asses. Smilie

I really want to know what happened to that upgraded Star Wars: Rogue Squadron compilation the US division was working on for Wii! I understand the parent company picked up development for a few of the titles the US division was working on, but nothing has been said or revealed on what titles and it's been a long time now. I WANT that upgraded Rogue Squadron compilation for Wii! Smilie

...of course, having it for 3DS would kick some serious ass, too. Smilie Smilie

Oh. Hell. Yeah. While they're at it, bring on Rogue Squadron III! That was an absolutely epic game that didn't get quite the level of polish the 2nd game did. It definitely deserves another chance. Smilie

Honestly, I'd LOVE a Rogue Squadron type game that's set during the prequel trilogy. Obviously, focusing mainly on the events of The Clone Wars. As long as they make it epic and realistic. Smilie

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Yes. yes and more yes!!!!

Hmmm interesting... I wonder what it could be!?

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562
