You've been fooled (...or not) This was one of our three April fools posted on April 1st. Nintendo will not be releasing a version of Link's Crossbow Training for 3DS, for now. Were you fooled? Do tell!
----------
Nintendo has announced a port of Link's Crossbow Training as a launch title for the upcoming 3DSWare service on 3DS.
As well as confirming "Twilight Mode" for Ocarina of Time 3D, Nintendo also announced The Legend of Zelda: Crossbow Training 3D as the first downloadable 3DSWare game. Unlike past WiiWare and DSiWare, the Nintendo 3DS has a far larger limit given the ability to run software off SD/SDHC cards. The new game is essentially a straightforward port of the Wii version with improved controls and extra levels!
According to Japanese magazine Famitsu, Zelda God Shigeru Miyamoto relished the potential for Capcom’s Resident Evil: The Mercenaries so felt to bring a similar concept over to the 3DS.
Like the Wii edition you’ll venture through a series of Hylian locations, shooting moving targets, enemies and those tough old Gorons in a bid to rack up points and combos.
There’ll be various play methods available, including an easy mode where the game switches onto the touch-screen, regular stylus driven controls and compatibility with the 3DS cameras. Apparently you can also stick out your tongue towards the inner camera or make farting sounds to shoot. Nintendo also confirmed online simultaneous play, local wireless and extra levels not present in the original.
What do you think of The Legend of Zelda: Crossbow Training 3D?
