Pokemon Typing DS - First Footage on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have started to release gameplay snippets from the upcoming Poké-educational game for DS, Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing.

The interactive software lets Japanese players engage with Pokémon whilst learning to read and write English words, like Pikachu and Mumma. To catch Pokemon, simply type out the words to throw a ball - you can even string together combos to catch rarer critters.

Two trainers will be available to choose from - a boy and girl, naturally, with identical green eyes and nice hats (shown above, left)

The game is also the first to be compatible with the DS bluetooth keyboard for easier input and for players to try and get used to the English QWERTY setup.

It would be nice if Sega took advantage of the keyboard for Typing of the Dead 3DS. A new PC version was released recently in Japan...

3DS Code 2578-3122-0744

I hate to say this but i want this to come out in the USA.... unno O_O... just...must...have.... *w*;;

I thought this was about how Water Type is super-effective against Fire Type and whatnot. Well, this is just as good.

Back when I was 10 or something I would have loved to learn typewriting playing this game instead of having some stupid boring computer program. Smilie
