Wear Mario on your Converse Shoes on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

No, Nintendo aren't releasing specialist brown plumber shoes, instead teaming up with Converse to release special edition designs.

The porky plumber's birthday celebrations will continue with a pair of Converse high-tops decorated with the classic Mario sprite, on bold black or smart white. The Chuck Taylor logo's also gotten a subtle change with Mario's own star proudly taking the popular side badge.

They're due out in July, and will apparently come with limited edition box - currently confirmed for Japan only, but would likely head worldwide given the popularity of both brands.

I'd wear the white ones, look ace!

If Converse make a pair of Sonic shoes, I'd be all over that! (as in red with the white strip. I've got a pair of vans that come very close! Smilie

I was wondering if they made a Sonic pair, I'd totally get them.

And yeah I agree, the White ones do look better.

Shoes are a waste of money anyway, you wear them to protect your feet and they wear out pretty quickly.

Cheap shoes for the win.
