E311 Media | Itadaki Street Mario & DQ for Wii on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix is all set to bring Itadaki Street not only to Wii for the first time, but also the West. The popular board game, known as Itadaki Street in Japan, has been going for many years in its homeland, yet even when Super Mario and Dragon Quest characters joined forces in what is usually described as a take on the Monopoly theme for a Nintendo DS outing that surpassed sales of all previous editions over the decades, even though there were rumours, the game never appeared outside of its native country.

Now, however, Square Enix is bringing the Super Mario and Dragon Quest franchises once more for what is to be called Fortune Street in Western territories, further strenghtening the bond between Nintendo and the Dragon Quest brand.

You know, I don't know why they don't do a Final Fantasy x Mario crossover party game. It's always DQ characters Smilie

They did FF x DQ on PSP...and there were FF characters in Mario Basket and Mario Sports Mix, so I don't see why there's no FF x Mario Party.
