Mario Kart 3DS has already brought along some new surprises, such as the underwater propeller and gliding sections. Hideki Konno has now commented on some more features and aims for the game, including the subject of online gameplay.
Speaking to Joystiq, Konno revealed the game will feature 8 player local wireless play. Furthermore, when asked if the game would have an online mode he replied "Of course!". He explained that the online component hasn't been quite set yet, but his team at Nintendo are aiming to get the same amount of players in the game's online mode.
Their main goal at the moment is to make sure the game can handle a smooth 60fps, with eight players in both online and offline, 2D and 3D.
