Since Renegrade Kid revealed that Mutant Mudds would be getting a release, there's been little information. Before E3, some subtle hints about the game were revealed, which highlighted that it would now be a 2D platformer. It was during E3 Mutant Mudds was playable and since then, some off-screen footage was posted up by Jools Watsham, along with new information.
The footage shows Max adventuring across platforms, whilst shooting and dodging enemies. There also looks to be quite a lot of collecting to be done on each stage. Max can also travel into the foreground and background during some areas, much like in Paper Mario and he has the ability to hover, which will come in handy for longer jumps.
Watsham has now posted further information about the game on his blog, where he revealed that it contains a total of 40 challenging levels spanning over 5 worlds. The 5th world has to be unlocked, which can be done by collecting Water Sprites from the first 32 stages.
