Xenoblade Chronicles Gets Pre-Order Bonus Bundle on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles? Nintendo have announced extra incentive for European Wii owners with a pre-order bundle at limited retailers; GAME and Gamestation will be the only places you can get it in the UK. Those who pre-order the special pack will also get a red Classic Controller Pro, alternate cover art and three posters electronically signed by Monolith Software founder Tetsuya Takahashi - while stocks last.

Of course, you can also buy Xenoblade Chronicles, hailed as one of the finest RPGs of this console generation, separately if you prefer. Nintendo are promising a seamless 100-hour adventure with a new take on the classic man VS machine scenario as giant titans from either side wage war upon each other.

Cubed3 recently played the game, and you can read our hands-on impressions here. Xenoblade Chronicles is released across Europe on September 2nd.

American fans - don’t forget to support Operation Rainfall to try to convince Nintendo of America to release Xenoblade Chronicles, as well as The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower. We believe in you!

Are you excited for Xenoblade Chronicles? Will you be pre-ordering the bundle or opting for the software alone?

Are the posters exclusive to the UK bundle or will all bundles have those? Because Amazon Germany has the bundle listed as well but without a price or description yet.

Could those three small pictures on the right upper side of the box be the posters?

Updated for clarity. Not sure who the retailers are across Europe, but in the UK it's only GAME and Gamestation. So sayeth the Nintendo PR...

I just looked a bit and found both press releases, the one for this article and the same in German but in the German one there's no mention of any posters. What a shame! Smilie Could have used some more posters for my room. Rethinking right now if I'm going to get the bundle...

Remember when we had to vote for the best boxart out of 3 or 4 to be released for the game? I bet those are the alternate artworks.

The winning artwork there is the alternate cover which AFAIK the normal copies have as well since it's one where you just flip the normal cover.

I know how the other choices there looked like and they definitely aren't the three pictures on the side of the box I posted above.

I will NEVER forgive Nintendo if they ignore us gamers in the USA.....it was bad enough we had to go through Club Nintendo in order to get a sound track for Ocarina 3D!!

Don't make me hate you Nintendo....bring me this, Pandora's Tower & Last Story WITH PERFECT VOICE ACTING DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Looks like nintendo will not cave and release these games. I really wanted Last story. I hope that comes to europe. That looked the most polished to me.

I dont think nintendo understands anything. Its not promising for the wii U. YOu cant ask consumers to spend loads of money on a console and then ditch it and move on. Nor can you neglect genres and keep releasing party/mini games.

The Last Story was actually confirmed for Europe by someone from Nintendo of France for early 2012. Don't know the exact details though, I think Kafei2006 knows more about that.

Thats good if true. Pandora was the one I was least interested in so I will not loose sleep over it. I still cant believe how shoddy this whole year has been from nintendo. They must think that zelda is the equivalent of 20 gmaes. It might be true to many but its still lazy and arrogant

The Last Story was confirmed for Europe by Sakaguchi himself in an discussion with Gameblog.fr, on May 30th 2011, during his stay in Paris for a Masashi Hamauzu concert. The guys over there are trustworthy, they used to work for a paper magazine that I bought and read during the late PS1/N64 years. Those guys have good relationships with big names of the industry so if they say Sakaguchi said so, then you can trust them (I recall a funny story involving one of their staff and Hideo Kojima having dinner together over in Japan Smilie).

Since then, it's been confirmed twice by Nintendo France representatives in official statements, the latest stating that the game was to be released in 2012.
