UK 3DS' Finally Get E3 2011 3D Trailers

By Mike Mason 30.06.2011 15

UK 3DS

American owners of Nintendo 3DS were able to download and view 3D trailers for the likes of Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario Kart 3DS and Super Mario 3DS on their consoles shortly after Nintendo's E3 2011 conference. UK owners have not been so lucky - until now. Nintendo UK have finally announced that E3's 3D trailers will become available on 3DS' eShop as soon as 1st July.

Nintendo will offer a pack of five 3DS game trailers for Mario Kart, Resident Evil: Revelations, Star Fox 64 3D, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. This pack will be downloadable from 1st July to 20th July.

Next week's update adds a second trailer pack of Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater and Paper Mario to the roster; again for a limited time period, though not one that has been announced yet.

Is it too little too late for these trailers, nearly a month after America, or are you just happy that they've been announced for UK download at all?

I find it unfair!!!!!! Im sure im not the only one who everyday has to search the net on new news for mario kart 3ds Smilie. Just because we live somewhere else in the world does nt mean we shouldn't get the privileges others get!!! Im looking forward to seeing the trailer!!!!Smilie

Seems like it's only for UK out of the different countries in Europe, as I don't have access to those Smilie.

EDIT : OK Nevermind seems that they'll be available tomorrow for my country as well Smilie.

If the UK is the only country in Europe that gets all the good stuff, I'm setting my region to the UK and will be leaving it at that...even when I eventually buy some stuff on the eShop. It's just ridiculous. What is SO hard in getting those things out everywhere simultaneously?? It's not like they have to translate those damn trailers...Smilie

I don't know why it doesn't work like Xbox Live, where you access a section for each game and all its videos are listed. Why do they have to be removed after 20 days?

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

F**king ridiculous. THere's no excuse for taking this long just to slap a bloody PEGI logo at the front. Also, why is Nintendo so keen on keeping trailers/demos up for a tiny-limited time? Is it really that expensive to keep them up on their servers?

One of the reasons I'm not even getting my hopes up for Wii U's online. I'll believe it when I see it with Nintendo.

I'm not even happy they're going up, it's actually just made me more depressed, because it's another reminder of how awful Nintendo are at online functionality.

My thoughts exactly, though I'm still slightly glad to be able to finally see in 3D what I saw in 2D... almost a month ago... Smilie... Why Nintendo... Why ?

EDIT : And they're still nowhere to be seen for me... Nintendo, you're losing all credibility once again. Now you fragment even the European Market on your eShop ? When will you learn, seriously ?

EDIT 2 : Finally got them at the end of the afternoon.

Nintendo: "What is the internet?"

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

umm...I think it actually has to be rated separately - might not be nintendos fault.

limited time, however, is inexcusable.

I keep geetimg an error somtimes why what does this mean nintendo

I just downloaded and watched all five trailers that were available but I didn't see any difference between 3D slider all the way up and off. I checked out the OoT 3D trailer too and it looked nothing like the 3D in the real game where it looks great. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I couldn't tell the difference in the trailers as well SirLink, I ended up turning them off, it's like when you go to see a 3D film in the Cinema that wasn't shot in 3D in the first place.

The depth slider only turns the 3D on and off with 3DS videos and Pictures, it fully works for just the games.

I could tell the difference in the trailers, even paused it and switched between 3D and 2D to fully see the difference. As Phoenixus rightly said, 3D slider in videos only toggles between 3D/2D.

Oh ok, but if that's the case, what's the whole point of those videos? Smilie Nintendo better step it up and bring their retail game demos they've been promising us for a while then.
