Certain third parties maybe shying away from the 3DS, but Namco Bandai has seen success this year thanks to Nintendo's portable.
Earlier this week the publisher revealed figures for the last quarter (April - June 2011), with the top three titles all for 3DS: One Piece, Tales of the Abyss and Ridge Racer 3D.
Overall revenue for Namco Bandai were up around 108% to 88.24 billion yen ($1.1 billion). A previous loss of 1.64yen billion ($21.2 million) was converted to a healthy 3.25yen billion ($42.1 million) net profit, partially thanks to the success on the new 3D handheld.
One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP flogged 170,000 units in Japan alone, with Tales of the Abyss nabbing 150,000 units in home turf. Worldwide sales of Ridge Racer 3D have totalled 90,000 units.
