Zelda Music Coming to London on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ever wanted to hear a dedicated orchestra pump our Zelda themes before your very years? Well this October you can.

During E3 2011 Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and franchise father Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations for The Legend of Zelda, there would be a series of global concerts.

Europe will also be treated to a live orchestra event, but it seems that London in the UK will be the only European stop during the tour, Nintendo confirmed this morning.

When: 25th October 2011
Where: HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London, UK
How much: From £33.75, from TicketMaster, available 8th August.

A 70-piece orchestra will be joined by a choir to perform new arrangements of a variety of songs from the series' 25-year history.

For more details see the official Zelda Symphony website.

Will you be attending the Legend of Zelda symphony concert? Should Nintendo have more destinations on the European 'tour'?

What are your favourite tunes from the series?

I'm there like a care bear. That is if Nintendo send out some journo/press tickets, £33 is a little pricey for me imo. I can't imagine it lasting for more than an hour, hour and 1/2 tops.

I'll be going for sure.

If I wasn't at Uni and had a job, I'd love to go, but I guess we can't have it all.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo said their US section of the tour would go through numerous cities. LA is the only one? At least make one for NYC for all the east coast people.

If it was in Manchester I'd go.

I'm going with my GF, I have two VIP tickets. I can cover the event with an article, photo's and possibly a brief interview with the conductor at the meet n greet after.

Have Nintendo UK PR passed on any information, like if they'll have reps in official attendance, and if there will be memorobilia for sale?. I'm getting some stuff free according to HMV's site.
