SEGA and THQ Join GAMEfest Line-Up on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

GAME has announced two additions to the lineup for its "ultimate gaming extravaganza." Key publishers SEGA and THQ have confirmed they will be appearing at GAMEfest to showcase their upcoming releases, giving customers at the show the chance to view and play some of the most hotly anticipated games months before anyone else in the UK.

Games now confirmed for the event include THQ’s cult wrestling series newest title, WWE 12, as well as action game Saints Row: The Third. SEGA will also be showing off its new first-person survival horror game, Rise of Nightmares, as well as Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, which Cubed3 recently went hands-on with and another hotly tipped release, Sonic Generations, although which version will be on show has yet to be confirmed. Cubed3 came away a little disappointed by the 3DS version, but if readers attend GAMEfest and it is the 3DS edition, do be sure to let us know your own thoughts!

The arrival of these game publishers adds to the already long list of gaming heavyweights, including EA and Nintendo, that will be coming to this inaugural gaming event from GAME. GAMEfest will run from the 16th-18th September, 2011 at the Birmingham NEC with tickets available online on the GAME website.

With these key publishers adding to our already impressive line-up we are getting really excited about what GAMEfest will be able to offer gaming fans this September. We know those coming to GAMEfest want to be able to see and play upcoming games before anyone else and the involvement of publishers such as these means we are able to offer them sneak previews and game play on some of the most exciting launches of the year.
- Anna-Marie Mason, GAME UK Marketing Director.

The full list of titles that THQ and SEGA the two publishers will be showcasing at GAMEfest is as follows:

SEGA

  • Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games
  • Sonic Generations
  • House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut
  • Rise of Nightmares

THQ

  • WWE 12
  • U Draw
  • Saints Row the Third
Will you be heading to Birmingham in September for GAMEfest?
