Nintendo today launched a new Flip-note competition, this time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.
At the end of last year Nintendo held a global competition for Mario fans to produce short animated sequences using the DSi software Flipnote Studio. Key members of the Super Mario team judged the winning entries with a selection posted on the Nintendo website.
Now it's time for Hylian artists to get their creative Kokiri hats on and whip up a short animated sequence to honor Nintendo's long-running adventure. The Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote launches today and closes in a month's time on September 9th.
A single animation can be submitted per entrant, and will be judged by key members of the team who have worked on The Legend of Zelda at somepoint - including Takashi Tezuka, Eiji Aonuma, Yoshiaki Koizumi and Shigeru Miyamoto himself.
Currently it's for DSi/DSi XL owners only, with no way of running the Flipnote software on the 3DS yet.
