Sony's Dual Shock 3......A WaveBird in Disguise?Nintendo's controller for the GameCube was hailed as being ergonomically suitable for all game genre, even awkward fighting titles to some extent. People praised the pressure-sensitive buttons that were included, the trigger-style shoulder buttons and the actual overall 'feel' of the controller. Then, in order to further improve upon this, the WaveBird was unleashed on an unsuspecting market and proved to be a major success due to its wireless nature, able to transmit up to sixteen different radio signal bands to a respective receiver plugged into the GameCube so that the days of entangled wires during multi-player sessions were to be a thing of the past. Today, it has been revealed that Sony plans to update its Dual Shock controllers for the forthcoming release of the PlayStation 3...and Nintendo fans might notice that the company is either paying homage to Nintendo's innovation or simply mimicking it for its own gain. Here are the specifications of the 'DualShock 3': Wireless for the ultimate 'hassle-free' gaming experience,There will be either one or two triggers as replacements for the usual shoulder buttons, andThe D-Pad and action buttons will be completely pressure sensitive for more user-interaction The remaining elements of the DS3 will stick to the model set-out by the DualShock 2, and the whole thing will be available at the launch of the PS3.
