New Zelda: Skyward Sword Footage Heats Up on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest chapter in the long-running Legend of Zelda series is heating up in new footage of a vital game mechanic in action.

Skyward Sword is an all new adventure for the ever vigilant voiceless hero, explaining the origins of the Ruler and introducing a more natural way of wielding a sword and poking arrows into poor Moblins. We've seen Link take to the skies, but what happens as he ventures below?

Spoiler Warning: If you're averse to spoilers then turn away... or risk viewing your favourite Hylian hero releasing gas from his bottom in order to save himself from crash landing intro the prickly rocks below. Only joking!

Love the Music, the E3 demo played alright and I'm looking forward to this, will be the 2nd to last (or maybe 3rd to last) Wii game I get.

Bit underwhelming imo, though short, just wreaks of WW/TP. Fire dungeon, anyone?

Yeah it's probably a fire dungeon...

Is it me or does that music sound like Star Wars abit... the whole bird flying thing is not really my thing, hope its not the main integral part of the game.

This was pretty underwhelming. Though, I haven't really seen much gameplay or anything of this yet. I've watched maybe one or two gameplay videos, I just want the game to hurry up and come out already, just so I can play it.

I was expecting to see conference footage with Miyamoto.

If you dont mind spoilers then ign have the best video ever showing expansive zelda footage.
It is better then any of the trailers. The levels and wii remote mechanics look really interesting. This is more then the swan song for wii. This is the game everyone wanted for the wii since 06. After seeing this new footage I just cant wait.

This energy bar of links seems like a great idea. He can now vault over enemies and climb vines much faster. He seems more controllable then before.
