Limited Gold Run for Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has outlined plans for the Gold edition Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword package - it'll only be produced in a limited run this year.

The Japanese arm will, like other regions, produce two versions of the game - the bog standard edition for 6,800 Yen and the 25th Anniversary Pack, which includes the gold Wii Remote Plus and soundtrack CD, at a slightly higher 8,800 Yen.

The Gold packaging and CD will only be produced in a small run this year, with additional stock released in 2012 donning the regular Wii packaging with different artwork instead.

It's uncertain whether the Wii Remote Plus in gold will continue to ship, however.

Europe and North America have yet to confirm how long the bundle will be available for, but it's likely to come in a limited run also.

Preorderd mine the minute the first story of the Limited Edition was posted so I'm.......GOLDEN!! BWAAAHAHAHAAaaaa....I'm sorry that was awful. T_T

Still we get a gold recolor of a Wiimote+ AND a Gold colored/redesigned gamecase? Good to hear, let's hope Samus get's this kinda love with her Wii U or 3DS appearance. It's a crime really how little people know of & under appreciate the Metroid series...Samus doesn't even get a shirt from Hot Topic for crying out loud...T_T

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Have mine pre-ordered (CE) so I'm just waiting for the release date to finally happen. The golden Wiimote will look great when used along with my golden Classic Controller Pro.

I reserved mine at a local store. I actually have to work on that day (Friday)... I might try to switch something so I can get the day off.

I'm also hoping MediaMarkt will have a lower price, because then my store will adapt the same price. Smilie €65?

I'm safe! I pre ordered mine already. ;3 Can't wait for it to come out!

I have a Gold N64 controller that's gotten lots of love too. ♥

I'm good, I was stroking my pre-order slip yesterday.

It's true, Metroid has a exceedingly rare merchandise standpoint. Even the figures are hard to come by and ridiculously expensive. But what bothers me is that there's tons of Mario plushies out there and my ex had to CUSTOM ORDER her Dark Samus Plush from a doll maker I knew. Anything Metroid related is either nonexistant, or just insanely rare.

Of course, with the direction Nintendo's taken Metroid the last 8 years, it's probably not surprising how little people appreciate Samus. She's turned into some blonde bimbo now, which is such a pity as she was a really good role model for girls back in the 90's. Well, she certainly was for my ex (we're still close).

ANYWAYS... I've noticed Nintendo's US side of preorders and exclusive content has been pretty lacking for quite a long time now. Remember the glory days of the SNES? Games that came with guides, preorder shirts, soundtracks.. ah, the days... The Super Power Club had some great stuff in it.

Girls are like angels, hurt one and you'll have hell to pay.

I am sooo pre-ordered it's not even funny.

I used my ocarina to go back before they even conceptualized the bundle, gave them the idea, and sold it to them for the price of 1 golden bundle, and a Hero's hat.

*skips away in Hero's hat*
