NIS Digs Deep for Cave Story 3D Launch Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

With less than a month to go until its November launch, NIS America have dug out a new trailer for upcoming Nintendo 3DS title Cave Story 3D. The remake of the 2D platformer, developed by Nicalis, will be out on 8th November in America, and 11th November 11th in Europe.

Cave Story 3D's visuals have been given a complete overhaul to make the most of 3DS. If you're not a fan of the new look, though, worry not - you can always revert back to the classic mode and play the game just as you remembered it.

You'll be able to spot Cave Story 3D easily on shop shelves thanks to a fancy eye-catching lenticular cover when it's released next month. In a recent interview concerns about Cave Story 3D's sales were raised, so be sure to support the cause when it does finally launch.

Haru Akenaga, President of NIS America: I’m really worried about sales for Cave Story. It’s not the quality of the game, it’s the market. Actually, we could have released the title in the summer of this year, but the market was not great then. Almost all of the retailers did not want to carry 3DS titles that were not AAA titles. That’s why we postponed the release of Cave Story until the market conditions improved. Now there are many big titles coming and that should be better for 3DS. I hope Cave Story will have reorders and always have a spot on store shelves.
