Nintendo recently held a voting contest to determine which pieces of artwork would be the alternative box art covers for both Pandora's Tower and The Last Story, both launching next year in Europe. Today the winners have been revealed!

Definitely. If you remember my segment on the artwork podcast, this type of drawn, non CG, artwork is my favourite style. Love CG art, but the sketch used here for Pandora is beautiful.

Oh wow, I actually didn't think that this voting contest would end this soon.

Picked the winner of The Last Story, but I did pick this one right here for Pandora's Tower, and really just because of the sword and his pose. XD Looks epic. The winning artwork looks amazing too though.

@Azuardo: Same for me. I simply adore this particular style of artwork.

Yeah, it definitely ended pretty quickly. At least we ended up with some great covers in the end though! Hope they do this for more games in the future. An alt Skyward Sword one could have been great. I think some companies are starting to do this type of thing more though, with the latest Ratchet game on PS3 having an alt over. Custom box arts are extremely popular now too, and it's not surprising. Some covers get ruined with the amount of labels they slap all over the artwork, ruining it. Germany is one of the worst cases with its huge labels, and I'm not a fan of Australia's either.

I like The Last Story's cover art better than Pandora's Tower, but they're both great. Hopefully we'll get release dates soon.

And @EdEN
Unless something gets announced by NOA soon I guess they won't release in the US unless it's really close to the Wii U's launch (whenever that is).
