The Last Story Wii Due in February on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has set a European date for the release of Mistwalker's exclusive Wii RPG, The Last Story.

The rumoured release date has been confirmed - scrawl on your calendars and collect those pennies in time for February 24th 2012. Contrary to reports that the once Japan-only game would be re-named, the game will still keep the original title.

The Last Story is an immersive action RPG created by Hironobu Sakaguchi - featuring a strong solo campaign, customisable items/characters and extensive online features. Players take on the role of a Zael and his band of rather deadly mercenaries, who explore Lazulis Island to help the poor chap leave a life of sin and become a good Knight.

Brilliant news, I'm totally pre-ordering once it gets put up, even though I shouldn't be getting it as it's going to be a busy time in school for me.

I'm also looking forward to the online component of a game. Deathmatch, team deathmatch and co-op certainly sound interesting in a game like this. Smilie

I assume you're getting it then, Az? Who else is going to buy it?

A definitive buy for me as well Smilie. This, along with Pandora's Tower, whenever it gets released in 2012.

I'm wondering if we'll be getting the alternative art from the official website in the form of posters as preorder bonuses, like they did with Xenoblade Chronicles last Summer.

I'm buying it as well but I doubt it'll be as good as Xenoblade because that's the best RPG I've played this generation.

I'll more than likely get it. Just like November saw two big release for me in Uncharted 3 and Zelda SS, February '12 has FFXIII-2 and now The Last Story. My most anticipated games seem to come together, hah. Big RPG month!

Not gonna care about this untill it's announced for the USA....with different voice actors if this game gets slammed for craptacular robot actors.
