Nintendo Details 3D Photo Competition on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

During Nintendo Direct the company detailed an upcoming 3DS photo contest for keen 3D photographers to win prizes.

The publisher divulged a few additional details today, including a landing page (in Japanese), with submissions being taken from January 18th. The nifty website will be viewable on a conventional PC browser, but also optimised for the 3DS browser - submissions can be entered directly from the console and also viewed in glorious 3D.

Guest judges will join Nintendo to select the best of the best, with winners taking home a bunch of goodies for their efforts.

Similar competitions for outside Japan have yet to be confirmed, but are likely to follow.

If the image quality was significantly better, I could easily find the motivation to do this, but as it stands, no.

pft, the whole point of this sort of thing is to work within the limitations of the medium.
Sure, the res is low, but in good light and with the 3d I'm sure we will see some inventive images.

Look at the Zelda flipbook winners....a animation software akin to a cutdown multiframe version of MSPaint, and yet still people came up with fantastic things for us to watch.

Soooooo...what do you win & is this Japan only entry?

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
