New Pokémon and Mario Party on their Way for 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In Nintendo's recent press release which celebrated the fact the Nintendo 3DS has sold over 4 million units since its release in the United States, there was a small line that may have been overlooked by most.

With a strong lineup of software on the horizon, including new installments in the Mario Party™, Pokémon™ and Kid Icarus™ franchises, as well as third-party games such as Resident Evil Revelations from Capcom and METAL GEAR SOLID 3D Snake Eater from Konami for Nintendo 3DS, that momentum should continue into the first quarter of 2012 and beyond.

Whilst it was pretty obvious that these games would be coming eventually, this is the first official confirmation of brand new entries in the Pokémon and Mario Party series appearing on the Nintendo 3DS.

Can we expect a full Pokémon adventure, or will it be something different? Should the 3DS version of Mario Party bring in some fresh changes to the familiar format? Post your thoughts below.

Gray is hinted at in the latest issue of CoroCoro Magazine.

I sincerely doubt that gray will be the next main generation pokemon game to be released on the 3ds...most likely we will see the remakes of third generation (hoenn). After all, in Game Boy Advanced we had the remakes of first generation and Nintendo DS saw the remakes of second generation...since Black and White was released in 2011 on Nintendo DS, I think they will first move the franchise to the Nintendo 3DS with the remake of third generation and after that release Pokemon Gray (or fifth generation special version, whichever it is) on the Nintendo 3DS, as it happened in its time with Pokemon Crystal which was only for Game Boy Color.

I hope the new Pokemon brings back co-op online Battle Train. And for crying out loud, utilize the new 3DS features and give us something new.

Why would they refer to a game that was released last year in every region when they're talking about future 3DS titles?

Aren't they just talking about that tactics game crossover?

Does it matter? We all know the 3DS is going to get a Pokémon RPG at one point.

Not likely. It has been stated that Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition would be released for the Nintendo DS, and in this communication they are referring to the Nintendo 3DS specifically.

Kinda... Missed... That part...

Yeah, still, I'm not necessarily expecting a main Pokémon game. I want it to be, but the less I expect, the easier the wait x)

Oh, didn't catch that. Might be pokemon Grey then, that'd be pretty cool.
