NGAMER Relaunched as Nintendo Gamer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Future Publishing has announced the relaunch of the UK’s unofficial Nintendo mag, NGamer and new website launch. Nintendo Gamer will reach more Nintendo fans than ever before with a complete overhaul of the print magazine, iPad edition, social media reach and impending website launch.

The new-look magazine, which went on-sale in the UK on 5th January, 2012, delivers even more fantastic Nintendo content in its new super-wide format; now filling a hefty 148-pages. In addition, the cover price has been reduced from £4.99 to £4.50 providing even better value-for-money for consumers.

Inside the magazine, readers will find the same honest and opinionated Nintendo content that was the trademark of the old magazine, wrapped up in a cleaner, more contemporary design. Nintendo completists are well catered for, with coverage of every Nintendo console past and present -- from NES to Wii U and everything in between.

Additionally, http://www.nintendo-gamer.net will launch in early February 2012, reaching a greater audience of core Nintendo gaming communities with Nintendo Gamer’s brutal honesty, unrivalled authority and irreverent humour. Opinion and reaction to breaking Nintendo stories, editorialised video trailers, and strong community focus will be features of the website.

There's a real excitement at NUK about what Future are doing with the Nintendo Gamer relaunch. The new magazine is a real celebration of everything that's great about Nintendo past, present and future, reflecting the excitement of Nintendo gaming to our core communities, while the website extends that passion, enthusiasm and knowledge to a much larger audience.
- Rob Lowe, Senior Marketing Manager at Nintendo UK.

With 3DS taking a strong foothold in the market and Wii U on the horizon, the Nintendo sector should be a more vibrant, exciting place in 2012. We’ve positioned Nintendo Gamer to deliver that excitement to core audiences across print, web and iPad, in its own inimitable way. We have the best writers in the business creating compelling content that Nintendo enthusiasts will love - Nintendo Gamer is essential for every Nintendo fan.
- Lee Nutter, Publisher for Future’s Nintendo portfolio.

A free eight-page digital sampler edition is available to view now on Nintendo Gamer's Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/NGamerMagazine. The revamped issue hit news stands on 5th January 2012 priced at £4.50.

People still buy magazines? I think the iPad version may do ok, but when you could just view gaming news on the web anyway i am not so sure how successful it can be?

Is it me or do Future pretty much publish all gaming magazines now? NOM, Gamesmaster, Edge, Playstation Official, Xbox official. Any more??
