Ace Combat 3DS Demo Restrictions on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has permitted developers to place demos of their new and upcoming games on the 3DS eShop, giving them the chance to restrict the amount of times a demo can be played. Whilst the majority have been generous and allowed up to thirty tries, Bandai Namco has decided to put a harsh cut-off point on its title Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy.

The re-envisaged version of Ace Combat 2, which Cubed3 recently scored 8/10, can only be played by Japanese gamers a total of three times before they no longer have access. Whether or not the demo and this tight restriction will be kept for Western territories is so far unknown.

What are your thoughts on this tight restriction?

Epic herp derp---this makes me want to not download the demo nor buy the game. Seems kind of silly--most people don't even bother with playing a demo more than a few times..why limit it?

I guess they released the full game with the same kind of restrictions 'cause it's impossible to find at retail.

...freak'n Namco...
