Two Tribes has revealed a desire to bring the next installment of popular download gem Toki Tori 2 to the Wii U.
The original Game Boy Color game was remade for WiiWare in 2008, building up a strong following with various other ports across multiple formats including PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
For those new to the series, Toki Tori follows an adorable chicken of the same name who sets out to save his sibling eggs from a scary looking castle. It's a platform/puzzler hybrid, relying on quick thinking and the use of a limited set of tools to overcome enemies and collect Toki's unborn chums.
The studio outlined plans last November to produce a sequel, and has now included Wii U as a potential host for Toki Tori 2.
Two Tribes hopes to utilise the controller screen for optional independent play from the main TV, whilst also considering the touch screen as a way of editing levels in real time.
The online plans for Nintendo's next console are uncertain at the moment, so it's still very much in the planning stages. For more details and updates, be sure to see the Two Tribes blog.
