Fancy a slice of Metal Gear Solid? This week Nintendo Europe is releasing a nifty demo for the upcoming 3DS entry.

The UK home of Mario today confirmed that Konami's 3D reworking of the PlayStation 2 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will receive demo treatment for fans to sample the delights of portable play and Snake's gorgeous 3D antics deep within a vast forest.

Eager for the full thing? March 8th is the date for your diary.

Oh hell yes, one of the main reasons I got 3DS in the first place when I heard this game was going to be on it, probably one of the best MGS games of all time, played it on the playstation 2, got it for the ps3 hd edition now for the 3DS. I've noticed in some videos, that this game has different gameplay mechanics not in the original snake eater, like crouch walking which was introduced in MGS4.

Woot!! Hope we get to try the rumored Yoshi minigame too, when is this hitting the states?

Yeah HD collection......if you want a very FLAT semi High Def experience woth nothing new outside of Konami cleaning up the fuzzy screen MGS3 had.

No thanks I'm still more excited for the 3DS "reimaging" as Hideo put it. How knows what else he'll add or tweak, well besides the inclusion of Yoshi of course.

I'd much rather play this version than the HD update. This has improved graphics over the PS2 original. It'll look good in HD, but I still think this looks better, especially when in 3D! Smilie
