Nintendo Power Confirms Epic Mickey 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

US publication Nintendo Power has confirmed the rumoured 3DS version of Epic Mickey in a preview post of its upcoming latest issue. Going by the name of Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, this portable iteration will not be developed by Warren Spector and the team at Junction Point, but instead by Dreamrift.

Not heard of the team? Well, it is the same group that worked with EA on Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, which Cubed3 scored 8/10, and the highly-rated Monster Tale for Nintendo DS. Whilst Kyle Gray stated he was up for working on a Henry Hatsworth sequel, perhaps the team will be able to bring some old British stereotype fun to Disney's Epic Mickey on 3DS instead.

Are readers more interested in the Wii sequel, or does the 3DS version whet your appetite?

As long as their different I will be getting both version. I enjoyed the first one, though that one was more disappointing to having high expectations, this time i know what to expect and sounds fun.

Seems like it's going to be an old school 2D platformer (sprite based) and built as a sequel to Castle of Illusion. Sounds sweet Smilie.
