Pikmin 2 Wii Version Due out in North America

American fans longing for more of Shigeru Miyamoto's quirky strategy franchise, Pikmin, can finally play the Wii edition of Pikmin 2.

The GameCube version did the rounds - including North America - in 2004, but since then fans have had a hard time tracking down a copy. Five years later in Europe, Australia and Japan, out popped the Wii New Play Control! edition - yet store shelves in the US got by without it.

With talk on the much anticipated Pikmin 3 mounting, North America will finally get to sample the delights New Play Control! Pikmin 2 - three years later - this June, according to a report in the latest Nintendo Power magazine.
