Konami Digital Entertainment have announced the return of fan-favourite Pro Evolution Soccer for Autumn 2012. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 returns to its roots with emphasis on the individual skills of the world's best players and full control over shots.
The game, which is endorsed by football player Cristiano Ronaldo, will be the most faithful recreation of modern day football with players modeled to match the movements of their real life counterparts.
There are three key elements that form the basis of PES 2013's innovations. The first is FullControl which allows total freedom of control and comprises of the following features; Dynamic First Touch which uses subtle methods of receiving the ball, Full Manual Shooting and Passing which allows players to determine height and power, altered speed and style in dribbling and Response Defending to counter the new options made available by these, and more control for goalkeepers.
The second key element is Player ID which comprises of player and goalkeeper individuality. ProActive AI, the third element, unites the control and realism. It includes Balance of Play, which enhances speed and balance, and improvements to goalkeepers who now respond with better reactions, clear their lines more effectively and push the ball safely out of play rather than into dangerous areas.
The game boasts better connectivity and atmosphere and has included improvements largely due to the PES fan base and work with real life football players.
"We're excited to take Pro Evolution Soccer back to its roots, which is all about freedom and control. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is created, in part, by the vocal PES community, and with them, along with some new faces within the development team, we're bringing in new features and gameplay mechanics that will invigorate the soccer community as a whole."
- Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment
Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will be available in Autumn 2012 on PC, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii.
